‘Bayside Strikers Soccer Club Incorporated’ was established in Hervey Bay in 1998, by Larry and Sherry Bell, George and Barbara Ellison, Nola Pearson and Neil Worth. All of whom were original Committee Members with Mr Larry Bell, a local Lawyer, setting up the incorporation of Bayside Strikers. George and Barbara who ran the local sports store, SportScene on Main Street were instrumental in building the club as every young child who came in with just the slightest interest in soccer, George would immediately recruit them and direct them to register with Bayside Strikers Soccer Club Incorporated, and that’s how it grew. George and Barbara were very generous people. They set up the original ‘SportScene Cup’ and gave considerable support to the community through their business and their time.

Bayside is, and always has been a local community club, run by parents and community members, proudly supporting our local community and businesses. We rely on fundraising events, sponsorship and grants to provide equipment and services for our players, coaches and team managers. We greatly appreciate all our Sponsors who help us, our volunteers who fundraise for events, and families who assist us.
